Resident artist for the famous Confetti Fields in Wick, Worcestershire Since 2018
In 2017, after visiting the beautiful Confetti Fields owned by Charles Hudson,  Hayley decided to email and ask if she could paint in the field the following year and possibly exhibit a few pieces of her work.
To Hayley's absolute delight he said, "yes".
Since then, she has been asked back year on year as their Artist in Residence.
2023
2024 twas a windy year!
Each year the exhibitions have become bigger and better, with more wonderful styles and ideas...ensuring there's something for every taste and budget.

"I pride myself on creating something for everyone during this exhibition. The months leading up to these ten days are intense and fully focused on creating new ways to interpret the beautiful field of delphiniums, and I love to keep it fresh and exciting for repeat visitors and art buyers alike. The workload is beyond comprehension at times, but I rise to the challenge each year - and I do hope this is reflected in the final result! I'm usually the first to arrive at 7am and the last to leave around 6pm. This is because the exhibition must be taken down each night and carefully put up again every morning in time for our lovely visitors to arrive at 10am. If you've visited you'll know the weather is changeable. From scorching hot days to torrential rain, wind and at times the odd mini tornado!

We rise to the challenge no matter what!

I feel incredibly lucky to have this opportunity and it's very rare as an artist to have the subject, artist, art and lovely visitors all in one place for ten days. I love working with all the other Confetti Fields crew, we have such fun and they're always so complimentary, not to mention the much appreciated and needed tea, cake and ice cream deliveries. The constant good humour and laughs keep us all striving to make sure every visitor has an amazing experience - right up to the last minute. A huge thank you to Charles for this wonderful opportunity, and to all the wonderful members who coordinate this operation of beauty!"
Please VISIT the Confetti Fields website for more information on the history of the business and all their beautiful products.
Below you'll find more pictures featuring the art of each exhibition plus a write up on each event.

2018
The year of the mini tornado!

The very first exhibition was housed under a gazebo! The one featured was the second one used due to high winds and a mini tornado lifting the first one, plus the art up and into the air!
Thanks to amazing friends, a replacement was borrowed and secured to the ground with hardcore, aeroplane anchors!
A memorable first exhibition at the stunning Confetti Fields in 2018 and an incredibly useful introduction to exhibiting outside.
A few of my favourite frescoes from the 2018 exhibition.
2019
The first year under the bell tent.

The second year saw a giant leap when Hayley was invited to join the Confetti shop under the bell tent. A much safer option and also lucky enough to be lent exhibition stands too.
Having learnt that people preferred framed watercolours to buy, she invested in this area to create affordable, ready to hang art.
As always, beautiful visitors and lots of sales meant the art was flying off the stand, this time not with the wind!
This year's weather issue was torrential rain which led to the closure of the fields for two days. Hayley, determined to use this time to her advantage, spent time painting and framing more work to replenish the exhibition.

2020
The year the world stopped but the Confetti Fields did not!

Due to bad weather the previous year the first seeded field of delphiniums failed. This meant another was seeded and the flowers bloomed a month later than normal. What was considered a setback was to be a blessing in disguise, as the field was allowed to open with strict social distancing in place in August 2020!
Due to the late blooming, Charles decided to also sow sunflowers; and what an incredible combination of colour it was in a year that so needed it!
The additions of sunflowers in my art was to be practice for the following year that saw not only a Confetti Field Exhibition but a Sunflower Field Exhibition too!

Everyone appreciated this particular year so much.
2021
The year of colour and hope in a time of uncertainty. Also the year I could've sold my sunflower vase a 1000 times over!

As we were recovering from unprecedented strange and worrying times, the Confetti Fields once again provided a moment to bask in the beauty of nature. A time to grab a little normality and feel safe to do so.

2021
The year of the Sunflower Field Exhibition!
Less than two months after the Confetti Fields came to an end the Sunflower Field opened, and so did my exhibition. A very different vibe with a more relaxed pace. A beautiful seven days of golden glow and art sales. It was a joy to paint for me, a subject I'll certainly be revisiting. I think it's fair to say we were all still a little exhausted from the Confetti madness though!! Totally worth all the hard work to see everyone happy and enjoying the tall beauties 🌻🌻🌻

2022
The year of record sales and changeable weather!
This years exhibition was the biggest yet, and thanks to you (the buyers) the highest sales since I began in 2018.
It was not without its usual surprises to test our resolve with my car breaking down just before opening, high winds and rain - which required quick thinking and teamwork one morning to weatherproof the tent! As always, we conquered and overcame...the sun came out and all was well again. This exhibition is not the same without a little drama.
For now here's a few favourite pictures of mine and I look forward to seeing you all next year. I wonder what delights I'll paint in 2023?
2023
The year of torrential rain, wind and a record breaking sell out exhibition! I went all out this year and created many more affordable, small originals in acrylic...and you guys loved them! THANK YOU ❤️ All of you who supported me made this my best year yet...and I'm so grateful. Once again we battled the elements and even lost a large tent to the wind at one point!! Thank goodness nobody was hurt x As always, myself and all the amazing confetti team pulled together and the ten days passed with many a laugh and giggle. Thanks once again to Charles and all of the team for an incredible time. Bring on 2024!!!i
